K-12:
- Students can defend aloud or write an essay to support their recommendation
on the feasibility of an environmental Marshall Plan.
- Have students play the role of an American policy analyst who has been asked
to review the possibility of an environmental Marshall Plan. Have students
work can be written and/or presented to the class. Pay special attention to
the differences that exist among each student's rationale here as well.
Methods:
- Students use databases to develop factual and comprehension level understanding
of information. This level of database usage is based on Beverly Hunter's
taxonomy of database use (Hunter, 1987). Discuss the different types of databases
she outlines.
