K-12:
- Individually, students are assigned the task of creating an advertisement
to encourage tourists to visit Monticello. Each student should write an advertisement
that describes Monticello as a whole and details three specific highlights
of visiting Monticello. It is suggested that the teacher share an example
of a tourist advertisement, such as an article from the Travel section of
the newspaper or an article from a magazine such as Travel and Leisure.
Methods:
- Design a virtual fieldtrip of your community and write a lesson plan to
accompany it.
