Students will be able to evaluate the usefulness of different web sites as resources for a specific research topic.
Students will be able to compare and contrast characteristics of their Latin American research-country with relevant characteristics of the United States.

National History Standards: Standards in Historical Thinking

10.1 The student will use maps, globes, photographs, and pictures to analyze the physical and human landscapes of the world.

10.7 The student will locate and identify by name the major countries in each region and the world's major rivers, mountain ranges, and surrounding bodies of water.
