Assessment:

Assign students a decade to explore more fully. For example, have students investigate what was happening between 1960 and 1970 to explain the 3.2% increase in government jobs. Students should research the economic and historical events in their decade which might explain the changes in job distribution. Students should generate more detailed spreadsheets and charts on their decade as well as being able to explain in written or oral form the factors behind the numbers.
