  4. Students conduct research to complete a cyber-search to find information on the office of the president of the United States and to research a president of choice.

  5. Students e-mail the President with a question they have composed relating to his duties in office.

  6. Students present their research on their chosen president.

Modifications for Primary Grades:

  1. For Primary Grades the teacher may introduce related children’s literature like Woodrow, the White House Mouse by Peter and Cheryl Barnes, and then lead the class in a presidential cyber-search enlisting the White House for Kids link, http://www.whitehouse.gov/WH/kids/html/home.html. Research questions should be reduced and simplified.

  2. E-mailing the President of the United States as a class may conclude the module.
