We have selected significant people that we feel are the most important in the development of probability or created specific probability problems used on this site.  There are a great number of people that contributed to the development and study of this mathematical topic.  Also, we have listed other mathematicians involved with the concept of probability and two books that may help you find information about these people.  We have provided additional links to websites that will help you learn more about the mathematicians and scientist we researched and other mathematicians that you may want to research further.

*The people with an asterisk beside their name have in addition to their biographies, an activity, lesson plan, or explanation that you can use in your classroom.  We have provided solutions to some of these activities.
