Ratio
This excel file is needed to complete the Rational
Number Relationships Activity. Students can use the sliders to explore fractions and discover relationships
between the four representations (fraction, decimal, percent, pie
graph). This workbook contains macros that will need to be enabled
when you open the file. Ratio.xls
Coins
and Dice
This excel file is needed to complete the Simulating
Random Events Activity. In order for the random number generator to
work properly, the Add In called Analysis ToolPak needs to be activated.
Pull down the Data menu. If the Analysis ToolPak is activated,
the menu will contain the item Data Analysis... . If not,
to activate the Analysis ToolPak, under the Tools menu, choose

Maximizing
Area
This excel file is needed to complete the Relationships
Between Area and Perimeter Activity.
Students can use this interactive environment to explore the relationship
between perimeter and area of a rectangle. By fixing the perimeter, students
can dynamically create all possible rectangles with whole number dimensions
and observe the changes in area. This workbook contains macros that will
need to be enabled when you open the file. MaxArea.xls

Fibonacci
This excel file is needed to complete the Fibonacci-Like
Sequences and the Golden Ratio Activity.
In this activity, students will explore the Fibonacci sequence and its
relationship with the golden ratio. Fibonacci.xls

Sequence
Generator
This excel file is needed to complete the Exploring
and Analyzing Sequences Activity.
In this activity, students will use several different values and observe
the resulting sequence and cumulative sequence. Sequence.xls

Fraction
Pie
Students can use this interactive environment to explore multiple representations
of a fractional number and investigate equivalent fractions in both numerical
and pictorial forms. This workbook contains macros that will need to be
enabled when you open the file. There is not an activity that
goes with this file. fractionpie.xls

Projectile
Motion
Students can use this interactive environment to analyze the effects of
changing the initial velocity, angle, and initial altitude on the path
of a projected object. This workbook contains macros that will need to
be enabled when you open the file. There is not an activity that
goes with this file. Projectile.xls

Equation
Forms
Students can use this interactive environment to analyze the effects of
changing coefficients in general forms of algebraic equations. There is
not an activity that goes with this file. EquationForms.xls
